HOTEL MIRAGE
Joan Turner, Liverpool UK

My husband and I stayed here and we were quite pleased at the rooms and the hotel in general. We only stayed for two nights (because we were based in Sunny Beach, but wanted to see the city). I must say it’s quite convenient because it’s close to a big supermarket called Picadilli and we didn’t even go out on one of the nights, but rather did a bit of shopping and ate in our room. As a matter of fact, we only had breakfast at the hotel once, but breakfast buffet was great- it offered a lot of cold cuts, cheeses which you can’t really get back home. The cab to the centre cost us something like £1.5 and we found some great places to eat in the centre.

INTERHOTEL BULGARIA
Peter O’Sullivan, Chicago USA

Let me start off by saying that I had very high expectations because I’ve been to Bulgaria before and have seen this hotel on my last visit. A business acquaintance of mine suggested I stay there this time, as I was not especially thrilled during my previous trips to Bourgas and the hotels I stayed in. To me, the main thing about Hotel Bulgaria is its location. Central, central, central! You really can’t get any more central than this. EVERYTHING you could possibly need is right outside. I was quite impressed at the services it offered as well. Although the hotel has been around for some time (since like the 1980s) they have renovated rooms (I stayed in one of those) and I would definitely say, the extra bit of money is really worth it. I visited the fitness/recreation centre is almost every day during my stay. The pool is a good size and the massages felt really good after a long day. The food is as good as Bulgarian food can get, the buffet certainly offered a lot.

LUXOR HOTEL
Andreas Andersson, Sweden

Me and my girlfiend staid here for 3 nights. Hotel is very close to Burgas beach and the center. There are good shops and restorants. Resorant Luxor was very good and has a lot of choice. Burgas is a great city and this hotel was very clean. We had a very good room with nice view.

HOTEL BOURGAS
Margaret Thompson, UK

Really excellent hotel right in the centre of the city. A bit pricey but worth it for the location and quality. The reception staff gave great recommendations for going out and sightseeing. Out and about was really easy- the hotel next to the main boulevard where all the shops and cafs area.  Prices here are much much cheaper than in Sunny Beach although we did splurge and have an amazing dinner at the Black Pearl, which is on the very top of the hotel and overlooks the whole city. Great food, great wine, great stay all around!!! Would definitely stay here.

BULAIR HOTEL
Andy Pratt, UK

The hotel is more of a guest house, with a dozen or so rooms and is really sought after during the summer, so reserve a room early! My brother and I were very fortunate because we showed up with no reservation and luckily for us, someone had just cancelled so we were able to spend the night here. Overall, it’s a great base for going around the city. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms and sheets are clean. Although it’s on a main street, I can’t say I found it noisy at all. Really good value for money!
